Loose Nuts was a pop punk band hailing from Ceebs, active circa 2011 to 2014. Starting as a two piece band, they eventually added a third member, and the final and true lineup was Liam Ryan (Vocals/Guitar), Nick Slade (Vocals/Drums) and Bryan Wadden (Vocals/Bass). The band released two CDs and two Cassettes, consisting mostly of covers and improvised "jams". These four songs are some of the only written material with any lyrics and actual structure. During their time as a band they never played a show, or played these songs more than once or twice. The songs have a tongue and cheek style of writing, but at the time were very topical and true to the members. “Green Depot" being about working your first summer job picking up cans for the governments recycling program, "Nick Got Arrested Today" a satirical piece about run ins with the police for playing pranks. These songs are funny and jokey, but they are also a snapshot of a young teenager’s first band, jamming every weekend in an undeveloped basement, ordering pizza, and playing video games, being the unpopular nerd who liked punk when no one else did, feeling too insecure in writing lyrics so it's shielded with a comedic blanket. All that being said, honestly, I just wanted a copy of these songs to look back on in 30 years so I'm putting them on the interent so I don't lose them, and so the people involved can also look back on them.
